The city convention centre, constructed within the Palace Compound, Imphal, is a modern centre which will provide facilities of a high standard for holding conventions, conferences, meetings and other get-togethers for the government as well as private players. The Centre has the potential to give a boost to the look East Policy of the country, enhance Border Trade, Promote tourism to the State and to be window for the rich culture of the State. It will be an asset not only the State, but also the North East Region and the Country.

The Centre contains the following.

1. A main Auditorium with a capacity of 746 seats with desks. 300 seats without desks and 35 seats on the dais.

2. A Conference Hall with 80 seats capacity.

3. An Audio Visual Room of 78 seats capacity

4. A VVIP conference Room of 18 Seats capacity.

5. An Exhibition-cum-Multipurpose Hall.

6. An Art/History Gallery/Museum.

7. 5 Multipurpose Halls.
